about

This track was composed by Fabien Girard, guitarist with Arat Kilo, as a tribute to a deceased friend, tabla master Guillaume Renaud. Mamani Keïta’s restrained lament is spot on, backed by ornamentation on violin, târ and electric guitar. Aïda Nosrat then takes the mic to finish on a poignant note.

lyrics

Mamani Keïta :
It is time, the time has come to come together
It is time, the time has come to get married
We are now ready to live life together
Times are tough for both of us but together we can overcome
Criticism never killed anyone, scandal- mongers can monger, they can’t ever hurt your life
It is time, the time has come
It is time, the time has come
