about

In Bambara “dalila” means “habits” and “iné” means “feeling”. Accompanied by Siar Hashimi playing the daf (a huge tambourine) and Michael Havard on baritone saxophone, Mamani Keïta repeats these two words like a mantra, seeming to ward off the wear and tear that the one exercises over the other.

lyrics

Mamani Keïta :
Keeping company forges bonds that even physical separation and distance cannot break
